Most Popular Asian Styles
Research has caused me to be curious about what other people thought of this. Basically, post what you think the top ten most popular Asian martial arts are in the world, preferably in order from most popular to least. Also, I'm speaking in general terms here, not which are the popular ones you think are effective. You don't have to go into sub styles if you don't want to...but if you think there's a particular sub style that warrants being on the list, outside of the style (such as Wing Chun, outside of Kung Fu), by all means post. This is all just your personal opinion.
As for me, I think it is the following:
1. Karate (as a whole)
2. Tae Kwon Do
3. Kung Fu (as a whole)
4. Muay Thai
5. Judo
6. Aikido
7. Jiu Jitsu (as a whole, but for the Japanese versions)
8. Ninjitsu
9. Hapkido
10. Eskrima
If you can't think of something for all ten, just say so.
